God has revealed himself through his creation.
The Psalmist wrote:
19:1The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork. 19:2Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge. 19:3 There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard. 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Every Star an announcement. Each leaf a reminder. The glaciers are megaphones, the seasons are chapters, the clouds are banners. Nature is a song of many parts but one theme and one verse:
God is.
(In the Grip of Grace, Max Lucado.)
God is constantly reaching out to the unreached, telling the untold, giving hope to the hopeless, loving the unloved... simply through his handiwork. there are tribes that have never held a Bible or even heard the story of Jesus Christ, yet they awe at the magnificence of their habitat. Perhaps not knowing personally the creator they experience the works of His hand every day. In that, the human heart can come know God through the handiwork of nature. If that is all that one ever experiences or receives from God, that is enough. If one's testimony is one only of creation, then that is enough... So many times we sit and wait for God to speak in the minuet still seconds of our busy lives, and fail to realize that the problem isn't that God isn't speaking... Simply, that we aren't listening... His creation is continually speaking... our part is to simply listen.
Don't only give thanks for everything, give thanks in everything. Don't wait for an epiphany... listen for a whisper. Don't place God at such a far distance away from you that he has to yell at you for you to hear, let Him be so close that you can clearly hear his small, still voice at any given moment
With love in Him. .

|
| Amazing Tab! Really....wow! I found myself chuckling at "When we maximize our traditions (ancient or modern), by default we minimalize Jesus." What an amazing line, praise God for putting it in you! |

Dr.- Amen! His breath is in his every written Word. Embracing it is indescribable. I am so proud of Josh. I believe that His anointing and gifts had made room for him and that in that, God working through him, the Nations will be shaken. I'm standing with him.
Racquel- I love you.
Mike- Amen! Lets maximize Jesus, and by default minimize tradition. :) |
