I have just returned from Tennessee and my father's memorial service. Or should I say the celebration of his life. My father died suddenly on Jan 29 this year. He wanted no big funeral, and always spoke of cremation. He wanted no one sobbing into his casket.. but for people to remember him and all the times spent with him. To celebrate his shining moments and let the others fall to the wayside.

  This was the day he had last Sunday. Family that could get to Tennessee attended. Those who could not physically make the trip did so in spirit. It was a wonderful thing.. to celebrate and not mourn as we came together to remember him.
