OMGosh!! This one made me stop and praise God!
Got a new letter today from Scott. Most of the information about the guy Scott was talking to I have to leave out as it is too personal but I will start the paragraph after that.
We spent hours talking. I shared with him the story of how much God loved us and how He wanted us to choose to love Him back. That it is our choice and we have to make it on our own. I told him that we were designed to serve Him and that is the void we feel inside us before we accept Him. We try to fill that void with other stuff like drugs, drinking and other sins that we can find to give us some kind of relief from the pain of that void. But sin is will only make it worse.
He assured me before I even questioned him, that he wanted that for his life. We talked a lot more about God and the guys that came to God since I have been in here joined in with things He has done in their lives. But guess what was the icing on the cake? He knows "The Manson Man"! When he heard that The Manson Man prayed the sinners prayer he was was so stunned and convicted in his heart. They had been good friends.
To sum up... We prayed and the Angels Rejoiced!!!
Wow, I couldn't believe how God has changed some of these guys in here. I pray to leave here but I am honored to be a part of God's mission. I am a small part of this big picture. I feel like I am in realestate. Jesus builds and prepares the home and I fill them up by leading them to Him. |
