First off let me say that Holy and I came on our own dime. Mainly because Holly was so powerfully convicted that we do so. She pretty much insisted. :-) I love her and I am glad she did. I was interested of course but she was convinced.
The conference has been awesome. And here is why. Over and over again what I kept hearing was confirmation of What Pastor J has been speaking to us. It even got to be really strange. Same churches referenced, same speakers, same books,... We are on the right track. I feel even more enthused that God has his hand upon us at this time for this purpose.
And, yes their praise band was great but our praise bands can probably teach them a thing or two already, not only in musicianship and skil but in seeking after the heart of worship.
there were so many similarities and so much shared behind the scenes to warn us of the traps and pitfalls that we can avaoid in our growth.
Christ Church is all about small groups, all about multi- site growth, all about serving the community and ALL ABOUT JESUS!! and these are Methodists believe it or not. they have 3 campuses, 3 services at the main campus each weekend and two at each of the others and currently are having 2100+each Sunday for worship. Their childrens ministry looks a lot like ours too.
Anyway I can't wait to sit down with Pastor J and encourage him with the news and also to meet with many of you and personaly thank you and encourage you too.

| Brother Marvin, To find out that we are headed in the right direction from sources other than our surrounding area, is encouragement indeed. But you know, it's not to much of a surprise, at least not to me anyway. I mean I have heard and seen many praise and worship teams before and well not to brag or anything, but we are truly blessed in that area. These guys rock. And more than sure that it is, as you mentioned, due to the highly intense level of down to earth, truly meaninful, love for God. And boy does it bring in His Presence. I truly believe that by being obediant to His Word and sending out disciples to preach the Gospel to all the nations and even helping to build a church in the Phillipines, is evidence enough, to me, that we (Celebration) are on target. And with this said =, I give God all the Glory. Without HIM we wouldn't exist. Sorry Brother I hope I didn't go to far, I sometimes get carried away. Needless to say, glad your back. and hope to hear from you. Nite for now. |

| This sounds great. I'm glad that you are enjoying yourself and learning a lot a the same time. At the same time you are missed. It sounds like we will get a better elder out of the deal too. I'm looking forward to Sunday. |
