"Birth-right please, Your birth-right please!" So cried out the cowardly fellow with outstretched hands.
The warrior looked at him intently. He could not believe that someone would be found yelling "Sweetmeats please, Sweetmeats on sale please" right at the edge of that battlefield. At least thats what he heard.
He was sweaty from the fight, breathing hard, weary of the routine of victory. "What joy do i receive..? Turn the pages, let me see!" The warrior in armour, roared like a lion ready to fight for his share.
"Presenting the sweetest and yummiest variety of sweetmeats you will ever see" so said the Wimp, who looked very down and out and very discouraged.. but he let the catalogue roll anyway.
All you ever wanted to feast on,the very stuff made for you to cherish while you are alive, here, scintillating syrupy yummy goods ,pictures of these flashed at the warrior. His grip on the sword didnt loosen one wee bit. And as he looked on at the pictures intently, he saw all those yummy-goodies and for the first time, the battle cries of his friends seemed a lot more dim than before. Pastries, Gulabjamuns, Jalebis, vadas, Cake, Icecream with dark chocolate syrup, and more..If you were there, you would have drooled.
I dont have time to explain the sale of the warrior's birth-rights. Let me just mention that his armour was sold for 5 bowls of chocolate Icecream. I dont have words to explain the look of deep satisfaction on the salesman's face. In our world,we call it 'job satisfaction'. I dont have the guts to talk of Ms.Wisdom, sitting afar on the hill top, lamenting for the warrior.
A lot of people all around this planet have done their best, when it comes to fighting for their birth-rights.
I feel we must fight for our birthrights, especially if Somebody has died so that we would be born..again.
Which one here thinks that children of God have the right to put their own Birth-rights up for sale?
Lets take a nail..hammer it on the doors of our hearts..and put up the sign "Not for sale" . |
