| My Testimony |
|
| |
Jesus wondrously came into my heart and turned my life in the opposite direction July 18t, 2004. My desire is and has been a greater desire for more of Him. However recently somewhat became discouraged and really tired in my physical body after being hospitalized with aspirating pneumonia. You ever get impatient wanting to feel great instantly? Well it wasn't happening and believe me I have been tired because of other health problems already. Today I want to make a list of a few things that He never promised that the road would always be easy however, He did promise He'd take us through the fire. 1. He saved my soul when I truly believe there was no hope. It was as if He reached into the lowest pit and said, "Come forth, today is your day of SALVAION. 2. He instantly delivered me of a habit of smoking for over 35 plus years. A habit my wife and I thought would never be broken because of my love for cigarettes. One day while going home from church as I lit a cigarette I heard a voice, "Lovest thou these more than me?" At first I didn't want to answer but then I heard the voice again. I said, "Lord, no I love the cigarettes more, but please forgive me and help me to get my priority straight." That was on a Thursday afternoon and I picked them up one more day after that. But that following Sunday morning at 12:30 a.m. I cut them up and said, "Lord, I lay them down and with Your help I'll never tough them again. That was on Sunday morning, Sept 12th, 2004 and I have been delivered since, Praise the Lord. 3. February 14th, 2005, he took two people (my wife and I) and broke down hedges that we had had in our lives that only God could break down creating a new beginning after 32 years of marriage. 4. March 16th, 2006 my wife had two major surgeries (the same day), they had taken 70% of her small intestine and they didn't think she'd live through the night. But the Lord spoke to me and told me He wasn't done with her yet. It took two and a half months for her to return to me. But Brothers and Sisters He never fails. He brought us through. 5. In the fall of 2007, I was having terrible pains in my arms and couldn't lift them higher than my shoulders most the time. I had gone to four specialist and was told that Mri and X-rays showed no reason for the problem and the shoulder that had froze. 6. January 24th, 2008 I came down with pneumonia and had aspirated. They didn't believe I would live through the night yet the Lord undertook in our lives once again. Now only did the Lord move on the pneumonia, He also healed my arms. I can raise them above my head and Praise the Lord once again. We serve an awesome God and He will take care of His own. I may have walked through the valley of the shadow of death however, I feared no evil, but I woke up with this scripture on my mind.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 KJV |
