| Eyes of Compassion |

Written by Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ. This past week my friend Jason was called home by the Father. Jason and I were like brothers . I count myself lucky to have known him, and also to have been granted the chance to be with him in his last moments. As I stood next to Jason’s bed I held his hand our friends and family surrounded us I struggled in vain to fight back my tears, I prayed to God to receive my brother into the Kingdom of Heaven. As I bent over to give him one last kiss with his last breath he told he knew he was going to the Father because he could see Him in my eyes. At that moment Jason went home.
I have prayed for days on the meaning of Jason’s words and today God has given me the answer. How do we know that God has taken residence in our hearts. The answer is very simple. When we love others the way he loves us. When we give Him full rein in our lives we will begin to see others through His eyes of compassion.
4:12 No man hath beheld God at any time: if we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us:
