As a pastor, sometimes it is difficult to get out all of the good information that is available to believers online. The Internet is a great tool for equipping the saints, and below are a few websites that I would suggest that my congregants use in learning some of the basics of the faith and how to defend it.
http://www.4truth.net/ This is an apologetics site, with explanations of variant religious and cultic groups.
http://www.e-sword.net is a FANTASTIC free Bible software program that you can download on to your computer. I HIGHLY recommend it.
www.blueletterbible.org and www.bible.org are two good Bible study sites. You can read the Bible online in many translations, and also study Bible passages using good commentaries and Bible dictionaries.
www.sbc.net This is the home of the Southern Baptist Convention. There are articles on what Southern Baptists believe, as well as links to www.namb.net and www.imb.net, our two major missions arms. NAMB deals with missions in the U.S. and Canada, while the IMB deals with mission work everywhere else in the world.
www.absc.net is the site for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. Here you can see what Southern Baptists in Arkansas are doing to spread the Gospel.
www.mcba1.com is the home of the Mississippi County Baptist Association. This shows what Southern Baptists in Mississippi County are doing to share the Good News.
I'll post more sites later, but this should get you started. Oh, one more.
www.walkintheword.com is the home site of the radio ministry of James Macdonald, senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel near Chicago, IL. His no-nonsense, in-your-face preaching will bless you tremendously. You can also look for his ministry on www.oneplace.com, where you can download his and other sermons for free on mp3 files. Others to look for include Chuck Swindoll, John Macarthur, and Charles Stanley.
Got enough info for now? Are we clear as mud?
