Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world, the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does, comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2: 15-17 this is such a current issue to the Body of Christ today. I heard this issue talked about in terms of poison. That if our primary love is for this world, our agape love is for this world it is like we are eating Decon rat poison. James says “you adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God”? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. I do not think he means do not love the people or see the beauty of the earth. They are good and to be enjoyed. I believe he is talking about the systems and that set them against God or would be for us a God. America has banned God to the Sunday school, so Monday through Friday school has become a place of issue after issue with out answers. Proverbs says But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
they do not know what makes them stumble. 4:19 I had a dream that the TV was broadcasting a story about a robbery in which a truck load of citrus fruit was hijacked and stolen. That morning in Worship I announced that there had been a robbery and noticed everyone in the room was carrying an orange. Some people immediately dropped them like they were on fire, and some hugged them even tighter. We in the Body of Jesus Christ have been in many cases overcome by the world. Complicit in their sin, playing while we should be training for reigning. take our leisure watching TV and My question is then where is your primary over riding love.
