| Coincidence? I don't think so! |

Do you believe that there is a such thing as a coincidence? I don't. I think everything is planned by God. I think sometimes what may appear as a coincidence is really a confirmation -- or in case we missed it the first time! <grin>.
That happened to me this weekend. As most of you have noticed, I haven't been blogging as much as I used to. It's not because nothing is going on in my life to blog about -- and it's certainly not because God is not working in my life.
My blog here has served as a very important part of my life and spiritual growth. I've been able to write about and sort through a lot of things God has been doing in my life through my blog.
However, I have had a different outlet for that for the past two months. Just after Christmas, God sent an amazing friend into my life. We met through Eharmony - I can hear the gasps now -- not to mention the giggles -- so just stop! :-)
Anyway, God brought us together for a purpose - we are just not sure what His plan for the future is. What we do know is that right now, God has used us to help strengthen each other in our spiritual journey.
Saturday night, we were discussing some spiritual issues - mostly the battle between the mind and the spirit -- or the spirit and flesh. I know that exists, but it's still hard to comprehend. He was explaining it to me in a way that made more sense than it ever had before. He was talking about how the mind and the body (flesh) does not like being under the spirit - and it's a battle.
Then, to my amazement, yesterday Pastor Norm said almost the exact same thing in his sermon. He explained it in almost the exact same way. I probably missed the whole rest of the sermon as I just sat there in awe and amazement of how God could do that -- to have two people -- who have never met - and over 1, 300 miles away, explain the same thing to me in a matter of 18 hours.
I do not believe for one second that it was a coincidence -- it was a confirmation from God. He wants me to understand this. He wants to make sure that I know that it is important enough that he had TWO people try to help me "get it." |
