I plan on being here for a while or at least till the rapture takes me away so I thought you should know a few things about me.I grew up in Tullahoma Tenn from a middle class family whose roots go back to Church of Christ as far back as I can remember ,childhood was about as normal as could be for a child of the 70's and 80's .After graduation and a falling out with the christian faith I joined the Air Force ,got injured and was shipped home .Got married and divorced all in a span of two years . Then the bottom fell out ,stayed a drunk for about 8 years ,shacked up with whoever , drugs the whole nine yards. All through these times I still listened to one pastor and one pator only John Haggee out of San Antonio Texas who preached the word as it is suppose to be if it offends ,so be it.I had turn down a scolarship to pastor at a earlier age to pursue the wordly life instead ,the urge to get back in the church hit me so I started visiting diffrent churches I didn't know there was such a difffrence in theologies and doctrines .I attended evry denomination I could think of including one that holds snakes WOW! I came to the conclusion that you can find a biblical bases for most churches in the bible.To say which is wrong or right I or nobody else could make that choice.At one time in history the leader of the clergy would read the bibleand the people would accept it because the bible was to expensive to be had by evrybody.Not till the printing press and mass production did the bible start being individually interpeted ,that is where all the doctrines came from of the rapture ,the trinity,demon seed and all the others. I have my thoughts on a lot of these but to say that I could prove them beyond a shadow of a doubt I cannot ,that is where faith comes in. FOR I AM COME TO SET A MAN AT VARIANCE AGAINST HIS FATHER,AND THE DAUGHTER AGAINST THE MOTHER AND THE DAUGHTER IN LAW AGAINST THE MOTHER IN LAW. We find peace in christ but he does not send peace ,we all have our own beliefs even in our own family and church this is why we must each work out our own salvation and I finally did .Nov 1995 I was going to leave TENN. for good ,but through one of the persons who was the fault in my divorce God used him to send Melissa Bogle into my life ,and I am still in TENN. Married for 12 years twin 9 year old daughters who were a gift from from God ,because we were told we could not have kids Tamara and Courtney.New found faith in a nondenom church until Satan struck again after overcoming my demon known as alcohol it came back for a while My mom passed away in 2003 and it went downhill from there .Loss of faith or caring whether I lived or died ,my wife and kids stuck by and pulled me through. after visiting churches for a while again we wound up at a place called Lighthouse ,what they don't have in money or fanciness they ooze love and respect and not condemnation. I still fight the demon ,it gets hard sometime but through the rededication of my life to the Lord Jesus Christ ,I have been dry for what will be 2 years come July fourth ,pray that I make it and continue to the end. I have learned in my studies that the only way to understand the scriptures is to understand the greek and hebrew the way the bible was written in. Accepting Christ is the foremost thing you have to do.He will show you the rest Christ did not come into the world to condemn it ,because it was already condemned ,by the law we are all condemned ,but by grace we are saved. I will be back tommorow with my first internet study after I pray on what the Lord would have me to try to help explain the the christians and non christians who read these comments. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 3:17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. 3:19 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved. 3:21 But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God. please keep in touch so that we may lift each other up in Christ till that blessed day that he calls us home .God Bless. |
