Galatians 1:6-10- I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
My wife and I are raising three Daughters , The ages are twelve , eleven, and one,
God has placed these angles in our care to be groomed into Godly women.
Anyone with children knows that this isn’t an easy task , but thank God we have the in-laws to help , but we realize it’s are responsibility.
These thoughts remind me of the awesome responsibility that Pastors, Evangelist, and anyone in Church leadership have to there flock that God has placed them in.
As parents raising children we have so many task to perform to ensure that we are raising are Children the way God intends for them to be raised, “Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”
The Bible tells the leaders of the Church to Teach, Baptize , and observe whatever he has commanded us Mathew 28.
Thinking back to the time when our two oldest daughters were still in dippers and drinking from a bottle, I can recall the time that we had to began to wean them off the bottle and how hard it was because of the coarse of action we had to take, you see at the time of the weaning process our girls were drinking bottles every few hours “something they were used to” but as we began to make those times longer or give less milk in each bottle Screams would erect from these frantic children.
The problem wasn’t them screaming, the problem was us pacifying them by giving them what they were used to. “Thus defeating the weaning process” I would look into those big baby eyes and give them what they wanted, My wife would want some rest and give them what they wanted, and then the in-laws would give them whatever they wanted, all for the sake of not hearing those screams!
The Church is in a defeated state because leaders do the same thing (PASIFY) the flock.
many times we know it’s time to get them off the pureed food and milk of the word but we get off track of the weaning process because we want to please ourselves and not deal with the screams of those in the congregation. “Thus we stunt there growth by keeping them on the bottle longer than needed!” It doesn’t hurt us at the time because we get our way, but it is detrimental to those we are to care for.
Going back to my children , my daughter had to endure getting her two front teeth pulled out at the age of three all because we gave her what she wanted and not what she needed.
Her teeth rotted because we hindered the process of weaning.
Are the leaders in the churches today causing the spiritual decay of the church?
“I would venture to say yes!”, we have substituted the meat of the word for a mere scream from the teary eyes of the congregation for the sake of harmony and rest, not realizing that it doesn’t do them any good.
Many of you may be saying “I do it out of love”, but you and I know that Love sometimes hurts. Could it be that we have become lazy, and forgetful of what we know to be right? Read the text above Galatians 1:6-10, we already have the manual in which we are to do things, yet we refuse to go back to the basics, we learned to raise our children by the way we were raised, we learn to teach the congregation by the Bible through and by the Holy Spirit!
What happened?
We forget the grace of God!
We start doing it another way!
We give them what they want not what they need!
I am forty one years old, and would look real foolish with a bottle in my mouth.
Think of how foolish the churches are looking! People who have been in one church for forty and fifty years “ still with bottles of the word in their mouth, when they should be able to deal with meat and potatoes!
Growth is a necessity for the church to have strength and power, if we continue to pacify them for fear of loosing there love! “I’m afraid we didn’t love them at all”
Further more we are not servants of Christ!
