This is fictional, right Tammy? Regardless, your point is true!!

As I read I thought, man how could anyone do that to their elderly parent. But you know what? It happens ALL the time. I've seen it myself, at Sunrise Assisted Living. Not often, but it still disgusts me when it does. Granted, I tell myself I don't know the full family history...for instance, I don't know if the parent mistreated the child for many years, killing all possibility of compassion in the child we he/she grew up. But still, any way you dice it, it's still sin, and repulsive. 

Ok, I think I went way off topic....sorry! Man just keep posting stuff Tammy, you're really triggering some thoughts!

Excellent post.  I have heard this story before...there is noting like the look of a child to let you know you have really screwed up...they are too young and naive to be political.  My children are my thermometers...

very cool point of view! My kids are my calender, clock, and thermometers..... I basicly need them to function correctly on all levels!
