| Life Making You Sick? You Need Rophe! |
|
| |
I remember hearing someone teach that *sometimes sickness is not always necessarily caused by sin on the part of the person who is ill. It can also result from living in a sinful, fallen world.
*SEE first SCRIPTURE insert, below. **rophe, defined in blog--keep reading :)
Considering the topics of my last two blogs and "listening to others and myself" I tend to agree with this. This in no way saying we should "use" this to blame something or someone else, but I do believe it can be a factor in our health.
I've noted the amount of people even on MyChurch that do not like to watch television, movies, or even the news anymore since it's usually filled with the bad news of our society, the lack of morals in programming, and so on. Just hearing all the pain, hurt, anger, hate, disease, the list just goes on and on and on!
Perhaps we've even commented, "It all just makes me sick!" and did not realize that seeing, listening to, living with it all around us---- all this CAN make us sick! Of course, for sake of keeping this blog from being too long, I will only touch on a very small portion of this subject.
PLEASE DO read the scripture references I have on this blog!
9:1 And as [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man which was blind from [his] birth. 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 9:3 Jesus answered, *Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
We can be sick physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially, to name only a few areas we may need to be healed. The Savior bore our sickness (ALL of them)!
147:1 Praise ye the LORD: for [it is] good to sing praises unto our God; for [it is] pleasant; [and] praise is comely. 147:2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by [their] names. 147:5 Great [is] our Lord, and of great power: his understanding [is] infinite. 147:6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
**Rophe is Hebrew word that means heal, cure, restore, or make whole.
Since our God is a God of Healing, we can pray, Yahweh Rophe (yah WEH ro FEH) Bow before HIM in praise and thanksgiving that HE is the source of all healing! By HIS stripes we ARE healed.
8:50 But when Jesus heard [it], he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. Thank you, Yahweh Rophe, for the Savior and healing!
103:1 <[A Psalm] of David.> Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name. 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

| Great blog, Yahschild. I read with interest! |
|
|
| So true Yahschild, (I am one of those who won't watch tv) love Stu. |
|
|
Made me think... If we have what we confess and we confess that something makes us ill... well ya we are going to get sick. The power of words. Then every time we see or hear what we confessed would make us sick, we will get sick. Father we break down the curses we have put on ourselves and confess "Yahweh Rophe" over our lives, in Jesus precious name, Amen! |

Thank you Mike, for the star and comment.
Sometimes it all gets overwhelming for people when everything around them seems so out of control. I know God is in control, but with all the negative "stuff" we see and hear about--it can affect us--and we sometimes are not aware that it is until it HAS. |

Stu, Thank you for your star and comment. I can take tv and such, up to a point. I've noticed though that lately I am finding that it's a challenge to watch it. I do like to be an informed person and watching the news or reading the newspaper are ways to keep up with current events--but, I do find it harder to do that. I am generally a positive person but it seems really hard, at this time, to keep up with current events that are positive. |

| I just went to the funeral of a man that belonged to my church, who died from cancer. We all will be healed, but maybe not in this life. This man is healed, and dancing with Jesus right now. |

| As usual another great blog Yahschild. My Pastor when I lived by you always said we will have what we say, that can be good or it can be bad. I am so happy that you reminded me of that in this blog. Thanks!! |

Hudnall, Thank you for your great comment.
I agree with you that confessions that come from our mouth are powerful. I wonder the psychological effect, positive or negative, from just seeing and hearing all the "stuff" on the news, much less other sources, WITHOUT confessing it makes us sick, just what toll does it take on our subconscious? As in the case of being around negative people. Sort of like the "trash in trash out" only in this case, "negative in negative out"--before we even realize it. I truly wonder about this.
I don't know, I try to remain positive and watch what I say but somehow, when I hear of murder, rape, the prices of everything are going out of sight, blah, blah, blah--it feels like a lie, to think "Well, gas is gonna be 25 cents a gallon, no danger of rape, people don't murder and all that". I KNOW GOD is in control but it's hard to even the news--I believe, and not be affected if even on a subconscious level.
I appreciate your thoughts, which are VALID. Thanks!

Paul, Thank you for reading my blog and for your star and comment. Yes, God's word is the ultimate truth. Yes, I agree when you read it or hear it, you do know what to believe. Thank you for taking the time to read the blog and to leave your comment. |

Grandmama, Thank you so much for your star and comment.
Yes, I need to be reminded myself! :) Maybe we should tell the newscasters that (we will have what we say, that can be good or it can be bad)! LOL! Seriously, it's hard to listen to or read all that "stuff" and feel positive--since we hear it. How can we keep up with current events, even local and hear or read "anything positive"?
I KNOW God IS in charge, but it can get to a person sometimes! He gives HIS angels charge over us, HE directs our steps, No matter what the world LOOKS like, HE is still in charge. Ok, maybe I've had a little refresher course myself and that's what I needed!

Deb, Sorry, I saw your comment--but skipped it without meaning to! I appreciate your star and comment!
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, but you do have a great perspective about his death.
Your recent blog, Deb, (I think around the time your friend died) helped me through a difficult time, too. I was feeling much the same as you did at the time--and your final words in the blog were very insightful.
Thanks for taking time to read this blog and for the comment. I do appreciate you! |
