Boy, don’t you half way expect to hear the Archangel Gabriel ask you that question? We half expect that he might challenge our presence in or Lord’s throne room in much the same way the disciples challenged those who brought the children in to see Jesus so he would bless them.
But we know that will never happen. But, if it could happen, we would have an answer: Jesus Christ, God’s Son, our Savior himself has invited us! On Calvary’s cross he flung wide the doors of heaven’s palace. He has not only invited, but urged and even commanded us to come. A command of grace!
We belong to the family of God, the household of faith. “Now we are children of God,” John assures us, “and what will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Jesus appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2)
To be with Jesus now, to know his tender mercy, his loving kindness, his forgiveness, despite our sin - what a blessing!
“Who let you in here?” Point to JESUS and say “HE DID!”
