I like making fun of Stanfurd and their 0-6 football team, but my hats off to their BASES organization for putting on awesome FREE events like this. Why can't Berkeley do more here? BASES is the Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students - they hosted Startup School Day on April 29th, 2006 - one day after I quit Intel. October 11, 2006, 6pm-8pm Stanford's Kresge Auditorium Free and open to the public "The BASES Entrepreneurship Kickoff aims to bring Stanford students, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley together with a mixer and panel that will kick off a year of entrepreneurship at Stanford. The panel will address issues in entrepreneurship through the shared experiences and perspectives of the panelists. Panelists range from venture capitalists to entrepreneurs in the mobile apps, web 2.0, and social entrepreneurship arena." |
Allen, Cary, Evan, or anyone else interested in going to this with me? My stalker targets include Guy Kawasaki of Garage Technology Ventures (as usual) and Seth Sternberg of Meebo.com http://bases.stanford.edu/site/kickoff2006.jsp |
