| Wow 30 years and counting where have the years gone? They have gone so fast. My babies are grown adults, and one of my babies is having a baby, and Art and I are old and gray? (What’s wrong with this part of the picture?) LOL 30 years ago there was snow on the ground for our wedding and so this snow seems right for 30 years later LOL. I wouldn’t go back and change a thing it’s been a roller coaster ride but has had a lot more good than bad by a long shot! Well----wait a minute----I would change one thing----if I could go back in time to when I was 130 pounds and then somehow transport myself back to today I would do that for sure!! That sounds easier than dieting!! LOL Does anybody know how to get me there???? We could market that for today I am sure !!LOL So I guess as Levi turns 21 today and we celebrate our 30th tomorrow I seem a little reflective about it all. But I know God’s hand has been on this family since Art first walked across that field from RETS Electronics School to Salt & Pepper Restaurant and I waited on him and knew he was the man I would marry. I knew it!!!! There must have been a gas leak in the restaurant that day I didn’t have all my senses about me !! LOL Anyway it happened and we are still having fun together today. So if I had it to do all over again I would still marry him because I can still look into his eyes and see the young man I married. I’m sure he would still marry me too cause the other girl he was interested in was all ready engaged!! LOL I still tease him about that today! But he left Indiana to come to Kentucky and found me, it had to be a “God thing”!! LOL Oh my! I’ve been a Hoosier longer than I was in Kentucky. LOL That’s okay Kentucky still runs strong in me!! He says he likes the sassy Ky. girl he brought home!! Just ask him –I’ll make sure he tells it to you right!! LOL. I know I’m a very blessed woman to have the husband I have and 2 wonderful children, a great and funny son-in-law, a soon to be seen granddaughter and a sweet and fun daughter-in-law in ’08 or ’09. As Art and I set at the kitchen window and we ooh and ahhh over the birds at our feeders we can say “Yes God has been good to us!” Thank you God. As we continue to grow and mature (nice way to say getting old, LOL), We can see each day God’s hand upon our family and continue to watch the blessings unfold as we head towards our 50th anniversary. What a wonderful journey! |

Wow, I was out of town and missed both 21 and 30 !!!! I am indeed blessed at the home you two have made, you've allowed me to share a bit of it and that has been one of my favorite blessings of the past few years. You can always tell the most about a marriage, and a family, by watching the children as they become adults, and in your case I see the same integrity and love in your shildren as I've seen in you and Art. Please continue to allow God to grow you, let His love be that benchmark of all the other things in your life, and never ever, ever stop being the amazing family that opens it's heart up to silly old men who can't seem to find their way home !!! I love you all, Dennis |
