Tonight was interesting as one of our stray sheep came back into the fold. William Robinson worked in our office since October 2007. However, his heart was calling him to get out and circulate through the battle space – ministering to our personnel. So in January of this year, William joined the “Bayonet Boys,” or our 173d Airborne Brethren out of Europe. Anyway, tonight our transient chapel lodging facility was full, so young Will had to hooch with me for the night.

As we were driving to the Joint Operations Center (JOC) Compound where I live and work, he recounted an interesting story. On one convoy, William had an “unnerving sense of urgency” to pray. He did not feel a sense of gloom and doom, however, in his spirit there was a strong compelling need to “call for fire” pray with dire urgency. He prayed specifically that the Lord would protect his convoy, completely confuse and blind the eyes of the enemy.
Later that night, he spoke with an individual and discovered that the enemy was armed to the teeth – preparing to annihilate his convoy. However, Will later discovered that an overwhelming and environmental darkness fell on the enemy. One moment, they saw the convoy, and in the next moment, it was so dark that total confusion fell upon the insurgents. They started stumbling and falling all over their own feet. Two of the bad guys were actually killed and reliable info validates the veracity of the above scenario. The Chaplain Will works with - Father Charles Kanai - demanded that he specifically repeat that prayer "verbatim" during all future convoys!
God is good and His mercy never fails! I’ve heard story, after story, after story of similar circumstances.

On Saturday of last week, my Boss and I were able to go south and do some special operations. We were able to fly a mission and resupply some of our guys in bad guy territory. That was . . . I believe, my last “Hooah” exciting experience outside the wire – Fortress Bagram.

Aside from jumping out of an aircraft while in flight . . . there’s no experience like hanging out on the ramp of an aircraft yanking and banking at over 200 knots and a mere 50 feet off the ground. I think my adrenaline meter was pegged on Saturday. Praise God for Dramamine!
In five days I’ll be moving out of my luxury accommodations and live like a vagabond until I finally get on a bird heading back to Ft. Bragg, NC!

God Bless, and again . . . thanks for your prayers – “Calls for Fire!” |

| Sounds like a meeting made in Heaven. It's always great when our paths converge after long absences. And with stories like that! How can there be anyone on this Earth who doubts the Glory of our risen Savior!? I wish you the most amazing blessings as you travel home and get back into your everyday life with your family. Our prayers will be with you always, of course! God Bless! |
