The Lord called me to a ministry to the "church". But I ran from it for about 10 yrs. I got scared off by allowing other "believers" telling me that I was too harsh. That I should be more tolerant of those that want to live their lives the way they wanted too. That believers were forgiven and they basically can live the way they wanted too, because they already had a seat reserved for them. The Lord called me to bring holy fire into the hearts of the fence sitters, that think that they can still live in sin, that because they said I beleive, they would get into heaven, but do not want to carry the cross. That just because they went to the front of the church and said a prayer, without true repentance (turning from and abhoring their sin), they could continue. The issue that truly burns in my heart is how the shepherds have watered down the food. The shepherds are leading the Lord's sheep into pastures that lead to damnation, instead of salvation. They teach that once grafted, they will remain on the vine, but Paul teaches differently.
Rom 11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, an olive-tree of the fields, were put in among them, and were given a part with them in the root by which the olive-tree is made fertile,

Rom 11:18
Do not be uplifted in pride over the branches: because it is not you who are the support of the root, but it is by the root that you are supported.

Rom 11:19
You will say, Branches were broken off so that I might be put in.

Rom 11:20
Truly, because they had no faith they were broken off, and you have your place by reason of your faith. Do not be lifted up in pride, but have fear;

Rom 11:21
For, if God did not have mercy on the natural branches, he will not have mercy on you.

Rom 11:22
See then that God is good but his rules are fixed: to those who were put away he was hard, but to you he has been good, on the condition that you keep in his mercy; if not, you will be cut off as they were.

Rom 11:23 And they, if they do not go on without faith, will be united to the tree again, because God is able to put them in again.

Rom 11:24 For if you were cut out of a field olive-tree, and against the natural use were united to a good olive-tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be united again with the olive-tree which was theirs?

Doyle, my precious young brother in the Lord, as I sit before the computer in Bangalore, India, I see the holy fire on you through my prophetic eyes.  This fire cleanses and empowers you for a great and powerful ministry.  As you pray for the sick, the sick will be healed.  As you pray for those who are on the deathbed in hospitals, your prayers will deliver them from the deathbed. You are very precious in the eyes of our Lord.  You are special to Him.

Good Posts and comments.  I think my first calling is to Love Jesus for all I'm worth.  I also play guitar for Praise and Worship team.  I'm also called to go be more like my lover Jesus.  Like Lara I have a heard for the outcasts.  I also think reaching out when in need and scared is a calling.  I think our Ministry is a 24 7 thing. Whenever our Lord is Sick, in Prison,  Naked Hungry or Thirsty.

Hi Doyle, this is a wonderful post; one of the best you've written.

The Lord has called me to encourage and inspire people to come to love and know Him personally, through their trials and struggles, as well as their joys.  I believe He's called to win souls for Him, by showing grace and love to those I come in contact with.  Our journeys are full of winding roads and valleys, mountains to climb, and oceans of tears.  The Lord is with us, every minute of every day.
