Well Dennis, There is more of the Old Testament spoken of in the New than most people are aware of. I'm sure you've read Jesus say, "It is written." So, where would it be written? They only had the "Old" at that time! Certainly the Book of Hosea is strongly prophetic to today's world, and Proverbs is filled with much wisdom. There IS no Bible without both Books. I'm sure you'll agree. Thank you for reading. I hope you continue to read my blogs.  God bless!!

Yes, Ronnie, there is much wisdom in the Scriptures.  I like the Old Testament and the New Testament.

You are right, the Savior did quote Old Testament and followed the things taught in the Old Testament.  The Savior was the sacrifice,  HE was our sacrifice, thus no need for animal sacrifice now.  I do agree that much of the New Testament does line up with Old Testament teachings, including Revelation.

This is my opinion and I know everyone does not agree with everything I believe.  I learned a lot trying to disprove some of the teaching I heard, so I know everyone is not on the "same page"  all the time.  Blessings to you in your continuing study of the Scripture.

Hi Yaschild, I have not been online for a couple days. so i missed your message. This is said in deep respect. But, any person who does not know the "New" is loaded with the "Old Testament" has never read his, or her Bible very well. Many believe the thinking of pacifism was taught in the New Testament. That's not true at all. Jesus came here as a Lamb but will return with a rod of iron. Even in Corinthians l 2:9 Paul says: But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him."
This is from Isa. 64:4

l Corinthians 2:16 For who hathj known the mind of the Lord, that we may instruct Him? that's from Isaih 40:14-15

Christians like to think God has changed into this nice old man who will allow them to get away with anything. He has always been forgiving. But Christians should pay closer attention to the Old Testament to see and remember what God really is like.
