Not a problem Sharon...  All the verses touch my heart but I also struggle to remember them.

Yep, classic hymn! Hmm, you have some verses I'm unfamiliar with. And what about

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

My Christian experience with  worship songs has been primarily in churches that are evangelical and contemporary.  Some that don't even have hymn books.  I have a real appreciation for the old hymns and old tent-meeting songs from long ago.  It's kind of frustrating that in today's church, you're hard pressed to find someone singing a hymn the original way it was written.  Now they're arranged by contemporary Christian singers lots of times and with new verses.  God bless.

I love you to brother
Doyle.  GA Cheryl, me too!!!

Lara, thanks for the touching prison story, I've heart Petra, but I havent heard there adaption of Amazing Grace.  I agree Suzanna I like modern worship, but I miss the hymnals to.  A mighty fortress is our God is a good one to.
