That was awesome!  I always thought Officers Kids were perfect.  Really living the perfect life.  Thank you for reminding me we are all sinners.

I love you brother. Good job with the testimony. My favorite line was, "I had never thought about it that way." But seriously, I'm proud of you brother.

Matt I see your testimony and I see myself going through life. I'm a Pastor's kid too and people expects us to be perfect and that adds a big pressure to a teenager or a college person, yet it adds the blessings and safetyness of knowing that if "anything goes wrong" Mom and Dad will always be there with the right bible based answer.

I really laughed when you said  "build up my testimony" that is a very nice excuse to go wild I guess (i'm going to steal it to use it with Jenily when I mess up!!), but the bible has a promise for our parents and if they "instruct us in the way of the Lord, we never will leave it". They equipped us and that's why we are here and now is our time (and what a time!!!) to raise our kids and never hide our testimony from them, equip them with the word of God and it will do the rest...  God bless bro!  Wish I could give more than one star!!!!

WOW! I love your heart Matt! I really do..You are a great man! I just read the testimony of an exceptional young man that in the middle of his "weakness" choose God first.

Speaking from my fleshy side I agree with you.. "I will always be a sinner.  I cannot wait to be completely pure... it's impossible" (I shared a big portion about it on my post "I'm not longer a Christian")

But you know what Matt? "old things passed and all are new in Christ"  Praise GOD! I think we do not have to wait 'till we get heave to be saint, pure, and righteous before God...we already got it in Jesus...AMEN.

And as you say "I have to start now"...conquering my flesh...

Matt I admire you so much!

What great response!!!  You have all lifted me up and I am just overflowing from your love.  Thank you for supporting me, and for your prayers.  There are so many who can relate with my story in the Salvation Army, and I just pray that people are moved to start now!

WOW Matt....what a testimony!! Although I don't know what it is to be a pastor's kid...I sure know what it is to feel like how you felt through college...like people say "It's easy to go the wrong way, but a huge struggle to do what's right". Honestly, it's the first time I read about Paul in Romans 7:14-25. So I truly thank you tremendously for posting this testimony & versus, because it made your testimony more powerful, come to life, and show me that if even Paul that met Jesus struggled in that way that at the end...it's all about Jesus Christ and His perfect love!

Thanks Matt..God bless you always!

You make me proud to call you my friend just another example of the maturity I mentioned earlier that I've seen since you left UGA. Let me just say in this town you don't have to be a student to get dirty it is so easy here and that could very well be because it is a college town. People know how easy it is to stray when you are in school so the things offered to the students are readily available to the locals the first time I remember getting real dirty was about 37 yrs ago and it was with a college student and easily available. Keep the Faith Brother.

Wonderful testimony Matt. I am sure God will use you for His good purpose. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths" Prov 3:5-6
