The last 7 days have been a wide variety of Living. If I wrote a book about each day (and believe me enough has transpired that I think I could) each book would be listed in different sections of the library. God definitely knew I would not get bored with the variety of material downloading into my life this week. More than anything I have held rather loosely to what the dictionary describes as 'normal.' Patsy Clairmont wrote a book dedicated to the subject of normality, In her book "Normal is just a setting on your dryer," Patsy included a profound statement, "Abnormal is normal. Think about it - consider your friends. Great people but don't they have some pretty curious ways. Abnormal is not an isolated occurence but a constant reoccurence. It's something we share in common...our differences."
Makes you proud to be...well, proud to be a little different - maybe even a little strange. 1 Peter 2:9 goes as far to call us 'peculiar' people and the next verse says we are 'aliens'. That's sort of easy to believe about a few of my friends (not to mention any names but you can scan my friends list and see a few E.T.'s). Think about it this way - we are all members of the body of Christ, so envision how useless we are when are not connected to the body. Without the body we are a truly a bunch of misfits, but we certainly fit in when we remain in the body. Guess that makes the misfit a big FitHit!
That said, now as I draw to a close one of the craziest week in my history, I pause, take a few deep cleansing breaths, grab a dab of chocolate for good measure, and then look around to see where I parked the UFO. Thank God for his design engineering making it possible for us to find value in the many different nuances of his creative genius.
Cilla and Augie: Some of the coolest aliens on the planet - thanks for your individuality!
Mike n Laura: I've always wondered if you really look like Lucy and Ricky? neways...you rock the planet too!
Shane and Haley - you guys are on the track to a new orbit in life - congratulations!
and Lorena - unique: definition the embodiment of unique characteristics; the only specimen of a given kind: The unique is also the improbable. Sounds like they were giving you a compliment to me!
