Bless the Lord O' my soul

Ok Ladies and Germs. It's Praise time here on Loren's blog. I want everyone to list out a praise for something that God has done for you recently.

It's good to bind together in prayer for each other for our needs and problems - but it's also good to edify each other by lifting up our voices in praise to God for the wonderful things he has done.

So let's have at it. I want to see some mighty praising going on!

My list:

God has begun to do a work in my and my wifes lives recently. Problems that we've had in the past are being identified and God is providing answers and solutions to help us work through them. I thank Him for that.

I blogged about this one already - but the other night God reached down from heaven and almost audibly spoke to me through a song on the radio. It shocked me so bad that I almost lost track of my driving. You can check out my blog section for a further description of this happening. I thank God that He is truly active in our lives....and, when His presence needs to be felt in a spectacular way....He makes it happen.

I thank God for my friends here on MyChurch. The responses that I had to the situation with our son at school were just a blessing. I don't know how else to put it. To let you guys know - after we got packed in the car this morning I shut off the radio and led the family in prayer specifically focusing in on Baileys problems at school. I really believe in faith that God is going to work in this situation for His honor and glory.

That's all I have right this minute....I may add more later. I look forward to seeing your praises!

I praise God for Vanessa's report and because I'm going to be preaching in a Hispanic church on June 2008. I was praying so much for this to happen! I love you Lord!

He is healing a friend of mine. He brought my mother back into a relationship with Him. He showed me the wonders of his creation. He forgave my sins. He told me I was blessed. He makes my truck get me to work and back each day, even though my son wrecked it back in January and it sounds like it's going to fall apart at any moment. He makes all things new. He is taking away my stony heart and giving me a natural heart. He has been teaching me humility. Our God is an Awesome God!

I am thankful that God has recently been bringing my 20 yr. prodigal daughter back into fellowship with Him. I am thankful that God provided 6 days for my husband & I to get away by ourselves, to enjoy His creation & each other.I am thankful that God impressed upon us the importance of this get away & that we shouldn't wait another 18 years to do this.

Praise God for splitting our small group and taking me out of my comfort zone.

Praise God for giving me an opportunity to bond with my non-Christian neighbors this last week, fighting zoning issues together.

Praise God for calling my children, and for the last two of them answering you recently.

And on and on... (this ain't my blog, so I'll keep it short!) Love the post Loren, and the opportunity to praise God!

It's been a blessing to me to read what others have wrote. I'm sure that God is indeed blessed by our sharing his working in our lives with others.

Dear Loren, Im sorry Im not very good with computers. I wrote my first blog when I joined this church. I hear you sent me an email. I hope I get it. I hope I can get it. Im not very good at this yet. Anyway Loren, Please pray not so much for me, but for my family who is lost. That they will come to know the Lord in time. Thanks again for writing. Eloy
