This is all so true and a sham! I too am a "Baptist" but what i have found out is that many people "Baptist" don't understand what the scripture say about trying the Spirit by the Spirit! in today's churches are focus is so far away from God that we tend to act like the world   " No matter what denomination" meetings, meetings, meetings! Sick of them because we are not doing it in a godly fashion, we do them because " this is how we have always done things" Tradition! So much I want to say! but you know what God is going to have his way regardless!

I think what we all "Christians" is see what God wants, in and outside the Church walls" and do it the way he would have it! If the Pastor is led by the Spirit of God, and not the Decons, he should be able to direct them to the things of God! but I guess it all depends on who we follow!

I've never been Baptist but have relatives that are and have witnessed that this is both very funny and very true.

I've been in alot of churches. Baptist, COGIC, Holiness (yes they were a separate sect during the early 70's) and non-denominational. Your post just magnifies that every church, family and relationship we as humans have will not be perfect. It is through the love of Christ and sharing that love for one another that we can come to understand each other. I enjoyed this post. It blessed me.

This is true in all churches I think, I can remember hearing the father of one of my best friends in my church growing up making comments about how the devil was able to leak into our church once a month and he would get in during the "elders church meetings" - as a kid that made no sense at all to me, now it makes perfect sense! Good Job

This was so funny....I couldn't help but laugh....Having been around a lot of Baptist folks, and even been in some of those Baptist meetings......All I can say is "Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love............etc. etc. etc.
