| Someone is Praying for You! |

I got to thinking about this the other day and it blessed my heart. Christianity is a rough road if you choose to die to self and let Christ be made manifest in you. There are trials, temptations, and persecutions, that come up along the way. I was thinking how blessed we are to have a Savior and Friend like Jesus Christ. He has not set some lofty unreachable goal for us to attain, but lovingly enables us to become what He would have us to be.
I remember what He said to Peter as the disciples were aruguing amongst themselves who would be greatest in the Kingdom. Jesus said to Peter: "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strenghthen your brothers." Luke 22: 31-32 Jesus, knowing that Peter was going to falter and crack under pressure still prayed for Him that Peter's failure would not destroy him or define him. Jesus reassured Peter that after you have turned back (to me) strenthen your brothers. Jesus knew what Peter was capable of. Peter was totally unaware what he was incapable of. So many times we try to serve God the best that we can, but our best is not good enough. That's when Jesus' prayers take over! Those prayers supernaturally enable us to accomplish the very plan that we were created to do and thus bring glory to the Father. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 7:24 that Jesus, "always lives to interceed for us." Jesus lives to pray on your behalf Romans 8:24 says that, "Christ Jesus is at the right hand of God interceeding for us." Isn't that great? You are going to make it because Jesus is praying for you to make it! Just like Peter who He knew Peter was going to fail, but Jesus prayed that Peter's faith would not be destroyed and it wasn't! You are not going to be destroyed either! You are an overcomer, by the word of your testimony and by the blood of the Lamb.
Not only is Jesus praying for you, but the Holy Spirit is praying for you too! "The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness! Sometimes we are so close to the situation it is hard for us to pray "Thy will be done" we pray selfishly, timidly, and misdirected, but The Holy Spirit prays for us and interceeds for us according to the wil of God! It is like us praying one thing and the Holy Spirit interprets it for us so that we are always praying the will of God! Read this verse below:
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. Relax! You have someone praying for you! Jesus and the Holy Spirit have you covered! There is nothing too difficult for them!
God Bless y'all Brother Todd |
