To add a comment to "She adds beauty to her husband...."

For me it all comes down to one line: "Her husband praises her." Many women would be far more successful at their endeavors for God and family if only their husbands would praise them. And that begins with me.

Michelle can't sew, I do the cooking and shopping, but I love her very much and she makes up for everything by just being Michelle! Nice one Chess

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she gives instructions."

WOW, as many times as I have read this, I have missed these particular words.  Thanks for posting this.

I have to admit that the Proverbs 31 woman use to intimidate me. But the more that I have studied this passage, the more I realize that it is there to help encourage and inspire me to be the best Godly wife, mother and friend that I can possibly be.
Thanks for posting Cheryl.

Mike~Laura is a gift from God!  Amen!~

Apureheart~I don't know your wife but I have grown to know you more and can only imagine her beauty. Thanks brother!

Zachary~ Hey you!  Emma is wonderful, keep praying.  Your young, see what God has for you brother.  Many blessings~

Stu~Michelle is a gift from God! Amen!  Love, Chess

PJLIO~Hello my Oklahoma friend!  I am just getting to know you, but of course if she is from here then.....lol.  What a blessing she is!

Valarie~Amen!  many women feel intimidated by these verses, but nothing in God's word was put there to hurt us.  These are a basic guideline for the beauty and gift a woman is and for the helper her husband needs her to be.  These verses are meant to exemplify her beauty!

Cheryl, this is what I strive for. I fall very short, but I am consistantly improving by baby steps. Mostly I want to highlight the following:

"kindness is the rule when she gives instructions"

This is my greatest downfall at this point and I have been praying about it and trying to be more intentional with my kindness. I would never be as rude to my coworkers as I sometimes am with my family, and they don't deserve it. Thanks for the reminder!

Julia~what ablessing you are to me and to God!  As you know everything in God's word He placed there to build us up, not to tear us down.  Baby steps are awesome!  Be in your word and put on your armour {Eph 6:10-11}.  I will be praying too, love you~
