| The prodigal son made his own mess, yet the Father received him with a full blessing. We all have messes we deal with. Yours is veryconsuming right now. Keep your eyes on the prize set before you and when you get through it, there will be no person to praise, but only God. |

| It's ok to ask for help, even if this situation is one of your own making. God wants us to be totally dependent on Him. He will get you through. |

| David, my husband and I made some bad investment choices (not selling investment property when we should have). Those choices lead to us almost losing one investment property in foreclosure back in October. Three weeks before the house went into foreclosure we had an offer on the house. It usually takes at least a month to get a closing which would have put us past the foreclosure date. The people that put in the offer wanted to be in the house quickly and asked for a closing date FOUR days BEFORE the house would have been foreclosed on. I share this to tell you no matter how you got in the mess, if you repent, confess your sin to God and go for His way of doing things He will always come through. He is never late--although He usually doesn't do things on our time table. ;-) |

| | Dave, this is from a mychurch friend of mine named Michael, I read it right after I read your blog, I think this message might be for you.
When God Puts You On Hold
"Wait for the Lord; Be Strong..." PSALM 27:14 NRS
If you're a seasoned air traveler, chances are you're familiar with the term "holding pattern." That's when your plane is unable to land because of unfavorable ground conditions. Generally the pilot announces that he's been told to maintain a holding pattern pending an update from the control tower. It happens regularly, so planes have to carry enough fuel to stay airborne till they can land safely. The Bible says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong...let your heart take courage." When God puts you in a holding pattern it's not just a question of having enough faith to receive His promise, it's also a matter of having enough "spiritual staying power" to stay airborne until it comes to pass. That's why you need to carry enough spiritual fuel to handle delays and wait for clearance.
The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit, "a rushing mighty wind" (Acts 2:2). After God had delayed Noah long enough to accomplish His purpose, "He sent a wind" (Ge 8:1 NIV). Anytime a wind comes from the presence of God it blows away all hindrances and obstacles, it dries the ground under your feet so you can move ahead. It demolishes the spirit of fear and heaviness that makes you want to quit.
David asked God, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" (Ps 8:4 NIV). Even in times of frustration and waiting, God is still thinking about you and working everything out for your good. His delays aren't denials. So, when you sense a divine breeze in your spirit, rejoice, it's a sign that He's clearing you to land and good things are about to happen! |

| He is telling you through aour friends on MyChurch that your prayers are answered. Have faith. It will be done in His time. You may not know what that answer is yet but He will reveal. Stand strong. Praise Him for those answers. He has not given you a spirit of fear but of strength and might and a sound mind. |

David, You asked, "Will I be grateful? Will I find myself face to the ground at the feet of our Lord and Savior?" You will if you choose to. It's your choice, nobody elses. Choose life !! God Bless You............... |

|
| You've received some wonderful comments. I will continue to pray. |
|
|
| God is a miracle working God; and I believe He will work a miracle on your, behalf--keep praying and believing for that miracle--it's coming! |
|
|
| Thanks one and all I believe God is who he says he is! |

In the First United Methodist Church that I belong to, we have something that we say when a baby is baptised, and I think it applies to you right now:
Dave, Who you are, is a gift from God. Who you become, is your gift to God. Amen |

Know with all your heart that He will provide you with all your needs.
Dave you and I have walked the same paths, so I know somewhat how it feels to feel hopeless when it comes to getting back on solid responsible financial ground. Let me tell you a quick little story. There was this counselor I knew who was kinda in the same role you are in, and he told me a story of Grace. He said he owed lots to the IRS for his previous occupations, and when he finally came clean and this debt came into the light he was overwhelmed with worry on how to fix the problem. So every month for a long time he called his debtor, the IRS, and he followed through with all his minimal payments of $5 or $10 or whatever he could come up with every month. Each year the amount he paid grew, the more he became responsible and paid of each of his other debtors. After a few years, he called to tell them what he was sending for the month, and the new agent who took over his case told him it was free and clear. He still owed over $7K. Miracles can happen.
Unfortunately, this never happened in my personal experience, sometimes I found my debts grew. Yikes! But occasionally, here and there when I feel like our financial difficulties are in dispair, sometimes the money just shows up. Praise be to God! I have learned over the years not to worry about financial issues, because He does supply all. Suprisingly, right now, I should be worried. I was laid off in January, and my wages usually supplies the food, emergencies, gas and extras. My severance runs out in April, I am looking, but I am not going to worry, because God will provide.
Keep pressing on brother, and know He will take care of you. |
