WOW! Now I know our decision to homeschool was clearly the best one for our son. One of the biggest things missing from the US public school system is teaching kids HOW to think and it often destroys rather than embraces the JOY of learning. We need to show our children the need for life-long learning by example. One of the courses we are creating this year is Problem Solving. I had been wondering last night whether or not is was a course valid of a full high school credit and if we should spend less time on it for the remainder of the school year and only spend time on it equal to 1/2 credits. Just another example of God providing the guidance I need when I need it the most :) |

12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt. 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. We live in a day and time where knowledge increases exponentially... Even so. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Brother Chris |

| Wow! I also homeschool my daughter. I deplore the public school system. Could be one of this countries biggest fault. We spent millions more on games than education. Great video. |

Not sure what any of this has to do with homeschooling . . . nick and i feel it will be our duty as parents (when God blesses us with children) to confuse our kids with logical fallacies and feed them false information incessantly so that they must learn critical thinking just to survive :) This was almost entirely quoted from The World is Flat; if you found this presentation interesting, you really need to read that book! And by the way, the ending is by far the BEST part. The other main thing to notice here is that we will need big workforces of educated people to make all this work. At the moment, billions of capeable minds are being wasted in cultures where disease and poverty eliminate any opportunies for education or for contributing to the global economy. Imagine what all that brainpower and manpower could do for the world, if only we managed to get food and clean water to those who need it! |

A lot of information here... Have all of these stats been substantiated? Is there any way to really know if this video is all-the-way true? I'm sure it could be. But how can we know for sure? I love the internet! |

| Still makes me ponder. I just came off of three days where we had speakers telling us how China is on a threshold to leapfrog in front of us technologically. For those of you who are techincal, they are deploying their internet using IP Version 6. It will take us years to replace our Version 4 and get to 6. By starting at that point, they have a strong technological advantage - for a while. |
