| My Body, His Temple |

Corinthians 6:19:
19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
This is something I have just began to take very seriously the past ten years or so. I have become very health conscious regarding nutrition and exercise, and more recently I have become more aware of keeping my insides clean too. Clean from bad attitudes (still struggling here), clean from negetive thoughts, hurtful words, and the absence of the fresh clean breeze of a relationship with God.
Man's law says women have the right to decide what happens with their own bodies...
Man's law says we can dress however we choose as long as it is not shocking to others...
Man's law says adults can drink alcohol in extreme as long as we are at home...
Man's law says that if I am an adult I can smoke cigarettes and destroy my lungs; that which He breathed His very Life into...
Man's law says we can eat super sized fast food anytime we have the money to pay for it...
Man's law says we can feed our children junk food and spend billions of American dollars on our unhealthy kids...
Hebrews 13:17:
17Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
So I know I have to obey the laws of the government here on earth, but my first duty is to obey my God that gave me life for His purpose! I must keep this Temple of the Holy Spirit strong and healthy so that I will be prepared for whatever tasks He gives me.
I challenge all of you to improve your Temple inside and out, for His sake, and out of love and respect for Him and the Holy Spirit that wants to live within us and guide us, and protect us from the evil one.
John 14:23:
23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
That sounds like the ideal house guest to me!!
