Being Guided by the Holy Spirit
If God cannot direct you in the little things, how can He direct you in the big things? He wants you to start yielding to Him in all things. I once heard someone say, "When you hear or read something for the first time, it produces a hope in you, but when you read it for the second, third, or fourth time, it begins to produce results or change in you."
There are many things that we go through as Christians. The Bible says that a righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. You may be facing pain, adversities, or brokenness and have been praying to receive a word from the Lord about your situation. You must know that God will guide and deliver you from them all.
It is very easy to be around people and pretend that everything is okay, but God is waiting for you to cry out to Him. You must trust God from the bottom of your heart and don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do and everywhere you go because He's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Honor God with everything you own and give him the first and the best.
There is nothing better than knowing God for yourself. When you have an intimate relationship with God, you can experience your own testimony and your own miracles & breakthroughs without having to just hear about everyone else's. Since I have accepted Jesus into my life, I have personally found out is that the Holy Spirit will literally guide your thoughts into the revelation that you are seeking after as you are trying to figure out what the answers are. In other words - you will find the knowledge you are needing as you are seeking after it. The Holy Spirit can either guide your thoughts into what the correct answers are by you just using some of your brainpower to try and figure things out, or He will guide you as to where those answers are located.
This is my confession in agreement with you:
Father, in the name of Jesus help me to deny myself. Help me to get out of the way and let You have full control of my life; I want Your divine guidance. I want Your help because I cannot do it myself and I am tired of having accidents. I am tired of having ups and downs. I want to be blessed. I want to be what You want me to be because I know it is not in man to direct his own steps. Lead me and guide me Lord. It is no more about me but it is all about You. Thank You for Your divine guidance today, tomorrow and every day from now on. I declare I am led by the Spirit and not by my flesh. I walk by faith in the living and true God. I trust You to direct me and I say because I am being led by the Spirit, I am blessed, on top and rising in Jesus' name. Amen.

| Run from evil and run to God...so simple, yet many fail at it. We must learn to go to Him in everything first! This is a great blog! |

Linda,
This is an awesome blog. Well said! It reminds me of Paul's prayer for the Ephesians:
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
I've been praying that prayer for myself - that the God would "open the eyes of my understanding" (KJV) - and I'm getting more out of the book of Hebrews than I'd ever seen before.
Thank God for Jesus!
In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. (Pro 3:6)

Yes, I agree to this more than anything! Amen. |

| Pretty good post generally. I will say however one needs to be careful one does not try and become "super spiritual" and going on "feelings in my spirit". Which can be a sign of pride and spiritual immaturity. Yahweh has a variety of means to communicate His will for our lives. You might want to check out my blog posts KNOWING GOD`S WILL & PROPER BIBLE STUDY. Good solid biblical teaching. The bible for example is God`s "Instruction Manual" for human beings. He designed and created us. There is alot Christians that inadvertantly get involved with "New Age" beliefs & practices and not even know it. "The Seduction of Christianity" by Dave Hunt is a good read. Or, www.watchman.org or www.letusreason.org , and others, are good websites to go for info on all this stuff. Be safe, spiritually, in Y`shua, Tom. |

A Voice...I don't think that Linda was trying to lessen the importance of the Bible at all. Simply because it was omitted in this post doesn't mean it's neglected or lessened in importance - it's simply not mentioned because that's not what the Spirit was telling her to share.
Posts would get pretty boring if they were all speaking to the same things, and always JUST God revealing Himself through the Word. The variety of ways the Lord reveals Himself are myriad as we are.
I would hope that most, if not all Mychurch members would always realize that any post about a particular aspect of experiencing God's will comes with the caveat, or a little mental asterisk, if you will that says:
*In addition to Bible study and prayer and fellowship and evangelism, here's another way that I have experienced the Lord or find that the Lord reveals and makes His will known".

| "Guided Be-ings" title caused me a little concern. I`m sure Linda meant nothing by it, other than an innocent title. I stand by my post response, however. We live in a time of unparalled spiritual deception, attacks against our faith, within & without the church. The "antidote" or Defense is called the Ministry of Christian Apologetics! Which I have been involved with my entire Christian experience - 30 yrs. now. Alot of Christians do not want to hear about all the false doctrine & teaching in the church today. God`s people have to realize that being involved yourself personally, and/or helping to promote, false doctrine & teaching to other people is Blatant Sin before Yahweh. www.letusreason.org , www.watchman.org , www.johnankerberg.org are a but a few examples of Christian Apologists websites out there. In Y`shua, Tom. |

Unparalleled spiritual deception? I guess you were never raised Catholic, huh. "Unparalleled" my aunt Fanny. The church was being seduced into the deception of keeping Torah in the first century and as I look around, I see it's still suffering from the same spiritual deception.
Works righteousness is the only serious deception the church has ever faced. It gets repackaged every generation or so but it's the same deception - only new and improved. Adding a little Torah to your Jesus doesn't make you any more righteous than the day you accepted Jesus as your Savior. So the question begs: Why do it?
This is a relationship, Voice, not a drivers test. "Guided Be-ings" is a GREAT title for a person who has surrendered herself to an all loving, wonderful Savior - who is her handsome Bridegroom, her defender and avenger, her strength, her righteousness, her holiness, her sanctification, and her redemption. Jesus is the reason for the season and He could care less about how much Torah His beautiful bride keeps. Because this is a relationship, Voice, not a drivers test.
Or so it seems to me, Rob |

Jesus is our free gift. A gift cannot be bought or sold!
I thank Him every day that He saved me in spite of me!
This is a beautiful blog. The Spirit of the Living Jesus Christ certainly does guide us into all truth through The Word! The Word of God is as relevant today as it has been and will be for all time!!
Blessings,
