For those who really know me they will will know that I am a very Unique person, in saying that I will now get to the point.... I collect hands , all type of hands, I believe that the hands of a person can tell you alot of that person. Any Ways here is my thought. The Hands of Jesus have you ever thought about them. No really think about this. Have you ever visualize the hands of Jesus, think about when He was but an infant laying in the manger, His little fingers could not do anything much at all, they jerk as tiny babies hands do, too small to help Him self or even feed Him self, This is the Awesome God that created all the Heavens and the earth. but yet helpless and totally depended upon His mother.. with His little fist wrapped tightly around His mothers finger, the world did not realize how much these hands would change this world. As a toddler think of how many times His little hands must have been smack, or told NO, these Little hands would one day rule the world. later His "father" Joseph would teach His hands the art of carpentry and would go from the soft wrinkle hands of the infant to hands with calluses and tender spots. Then in later years these hands of Christ would be the hands of the great physician The Bible tells us that strength flowed from them when he healed people. Jesus touched the eyes of the blind, also once touched a woman that suffered with a hemorrhage, He touched those with leprosy - people that no one else would touch. In small and personal ways, his hands set right what had been disrupted in Creation. The most important scene in Jesus life, also involved his hands. The hands that suffered for you and me. The hands that were taken one at a time, and pierced through with a thick spike. It hurts my soul to even visualize it, knowing the weight of hanging on the cross and how it must have torn through more tissue and releasing more blood. Is there ever been a more helpless image than that of The Son of God hanging from such a tree? But this was not the last time the hands of Jesus appear in the Bible, He appeared again in a close room, Just as one of his disciples was disputing the raising of the dead. Doubting Thomas, At that very moment Jesus appeared and held up those unmistakable hands up. Although the body had changed in certain ways. the scars remained the same. Today as Christians we hold fast to the belief that this is the true story and that we know that God understands our hurts and pains here on earth because His scars are a lasting image of wounded humanity. He knows what life on earth is like, because he has been here. His hands prove it. Think this Easter of the most important part of Easter being The hands of Jesus, as Jesus hung on that Cross and arose and all because He loved us so. Share the true story of Easter with someone. May God Bless you all... Love Lisa By: Paul Brand with Philip Yancey
