That is a very interesting issue that you have presented. It seems to be that disclaimer for a sermon takes away how special each of your sermons are to me. You really do not cross any lines that warrant a disclainer. Maybe I am not seeing the real issue here, but the FPCPJ is a close knit church that will question you if there is an issue with your sermon.
I think a disclaimer will make the sermon impersonal.

I do not think a disclaimer is necessary if you are speaking words you truly believe. I think Rev. Wright has opinions that may not mesh well with the image Sen.Obama is trying to show himself to be. That are the issues - for someone else it might not have the impact on their career it might on his. We choose to attend FPCPJ and like how you present the Bible, it's lessons and how it connects to our worlds. If we did not have like ideas you express, I am sure we would go to a different church until we found a fit that worked for us. Your beliefs are essentially ours - no disclaimer is necessary.

I agree with my fellow parishioners, no disclaimer is necessary.
