| Jesus had company... |
|
| |
This sort of leapt out at me the other day: 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
This gave me a whole new perspective of what must have been occurring in the holy city following the crucifiction--imagine the processional of departed saints from the grave yard being called out of their tombs to witness to the living! Imagine the stories that were flying around town...
I can just see these people wandering through the market, apprearing in the temple, knocking on doors..."set an extra place at the dinner table, Uncle Joe is back from the dead, and he wants to talk..." or "My great great grandfather dropped in this evening, he's been dead for 60 years..." The city must have been reeling; not only was Jesus missing from the tomb, with rumors abounding from his followers that he was indeed alive...but apparently he returned with an entourage that blanketed the city with first hand testimonies of his victory over death!
Cool, huh? Have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday!

Very very cool Birdie! To me, it is a replica of what is to come! We will rule w/Him on the earth one day! Happy Easter Lady, Shan~ |
|
|
| Wow! I never saw that before that others were resurrected with Jesus, halleluyah! |

| "Truly this was the Son of God" |

Truly, truly Brother Paul! This was the Son of God, who was and is...and is to come!
Blenda--I've never heard any Easter service in church where it was preached that the Saints rose with Him! Amazing, isn't it?
Shannon--yes! Possibly, prophetically portraying the rapture! Beautiful, isn't it? |

| Indeed! History does repeat itself! There is nothing new under the sun, no nothing. :) |

| I was the thief to the righ |

| I was the theif to the right of Jesus |

| Becky: I have been that thief too. But as I looked upon His suffering--at the sacrifice that He made for me, felt His compassion enfold me, I could do no less but worship Him and it was then I was transformed. No longer am I the thief; now I am His Bride! We have eternal hope and eternal love and eternal life because we drew near enough to the cross to feel unworthy of it. He loves you so, dear one! |

| Truly YAHSHUA "is" not "was" the Son of God. May the power of the most High God, YAHVEH overshadow you and reveal this MessiYAH, who IS the resurrection and the life today and forevermore. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD/YAHVEH.
