Jesus,Thank you, for Dying on the Cross

5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

When I think about what Jesus did for me, and for you I am amazed and humbled!  To think that God loved us enough to humble Himself and become obedient to a death on a cross.  To be rejected, beaten, whipped, scourged, mocked, punched, spit upon, having his beard plucked, having a crown of thorns placed on His head, having been stripped, and hoisted between two criminals to die.

Don't ever question God's love for you.  Because He doesn't just tell you He loves you He showed you just how much He loved you. 

3:17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.

The Bible tells us that He did it "the laying down of His life" for the joy set before Him.  You are His joy!  He loves you with an everlasting love, and nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus!

The enemy (Satan) wants to steal that comforting truth from you, but God loves you unconditionally (just because).  He wants you to know Him intimately and fully, and that is why He died on the cross so that you might know Him and love Him too!

i am so humbled that Jesus,one of his thoughts being me (and everyone),took on all those things to show me how much he loves me(and everyone else).....a true friend would lay down his life for u.....my Savior,my Redeemer,myFriend did just that so that i might one day come to him and realize just a small part of how much he loves me.....i don't think i'll fully understand how much till i am face to face with him....but i do know that with this realtionship i have with him,i am starting to understand on a deeper level..... i encourage everyone to get to know Jesus on a personal level, there is so much more to him to know than what you read about.......

Amen & Amen!!! Thank you Lord for all your grace & mercy toward us!! Thank you Bro. Todd for reminding us all just how much Jesus truly loves each & every single one of us!
