Holy mackerel, that's spiffy from an IT perspective. Dude, you better be a professional! (Or someone is missing out on your gifts!)

Very nice Eli... I wish I could make a presentation like that!  Ok... some future ideas for blogs (and we've talked about some of these):

1) Church Name - a lot of Corps are listed as "Salvation Army __________ Corps."  When you go to view all of the Corps that are registered at MyCorps.org, most of the names are so long that all you can see is "Salvation Army."  I would suggest that the Corps list their name first followed by "Salvation Army" so they are identified faster.  That way, people wanting to add that Corps or visit their page can find it faster.

2) Adding Your Corps as a "Friend" of the Salvation Army - this normally happens automatically when you create your Corps page.  This does two things: it makes your Corps or Ministry "officially" affiliated with the Salvation Army; and when people go to MyCorps.org, your Corps will show up as one of the 79 Corps already registered with MyCorps.org (makes it easier for other Salvationists to find).

If you are the moderator for your Corps page and this Corps is not "friends" with the Salvation Army, you can easily add it.  After you sign in to MyChurch.org, you'll go to MyCorps.org.  Since you are your corps' Moderator, in the top right corner there will be a link that says "send a friend request."  Click on this, and then you should be set.  It may take some time because the people at MyChurch have to make sure your Corps is actually an official church of the Salvation Army, but within 24 hours, the Salvation Army should be added to your page.

Thanks for all your help and support Eli!

I don't get that many emails from Mycorps.... I never know when someone new comes on board until I log and see that the number has gone up.... and it has been like for a long time...

EBovender Since our community is growing so fast (Thanks God) we had to request to MyChurch's people to cancel the email notifications for new members on MyCorps. However, it tells you when somebody joins to your group/corps/etc...

Thanks for your comment...

I am a moderator for the Pensacola FL corps, but can't make "friends" with the Salvation Army. Can someone help me with this. I followed the instructions, but I don't have that link that says "send a frend request".
