3:3 Whose `adorning' let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on apparel;
3:4 but `let it be' the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible `apparel' of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Hi All, If you have not read this book, then pick it up and do so. This is a fantastic read and as a woman, really makes you understand how GOD sees you and what is important. I could not put the book down and read it in a few days.
Pages 28-30 are awesome as I learned that GOD wants me, and a personal relationship with me. And I have to smile when I think of those times my husband (sorry babe) seems oblivious to me I always feel my Creator right there with me. I am growing closer to my GOD, it is a journey I am on now and one I will continue as someday I do want to trade my cross in for a crown.
So thought I would share this, for all of the women, who like me...from time to time feel like their spouse is a world away from them, or doesnt recognize the things we do for them, just know deep in your heart that GOD is ALWAYS there for you, quietly waiting for the invitation to start a long journey with you.
And our 1st and greatest commandment is: 22:37 And he said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. What better way to keep the 1st commandment by truly letting GOD in to your life by taking that first step in the journey and really getting to know HIM personally. I did a few years ago, and wouldn't change a thing. So if you like to read, and want a good book to either start your journey with GOD or continue on your journey with Him, then please read, "Captivating", as it is a great book. |
