| A "lull" in the spirit..... |

Immediately after Easter I noticed that we seemingly have entered a time that I refer to as, "a lull in the spirit". The word lull could mean any of the following... 1) to calm down - become quiet or less intensive; "the fighting lulled for a moment". I believe this brief lull is a strategic time for strategizing our offensive and for overall planning for the remainder of the year. Even in the political arena I sense that up till March 31st, that this is a very strategic time which will lead to some shifting in the political atmosphere that will release a greater level of 'favor' for those who are called for positions of leadership in our country. 2) calm by deception - "don't let yourself be lulled into a false sense of security - tranquilize". Although there may seem to be a lull in the fighting, we can't allow our spirit to be suppressed from manning our posts in prayer and watching. Our spirit man cannot afford to be silent and held in check, we must continue to build upon our momentum that we began with at the beginning of the year if we want to possess our gates in 2008. Let's not allow the enemy to tranquilize our faith and cause us to feel a false sense of security in our present circumstances. Of course we are secure in Christ regardless of our circumstances, but we must be vigilant (staying watchful and alert to danger and trouble) to maintain a defensive posture while strategizing our next offensive posture.
