| The Battle Cry |

Arise, Awake my children, raise your slumbering heads from it's rest. The Day of the Lord is at hand. Where are your wedding gowns? Do you wear them boldly? Or are they in your closets? Are they spotless, or do you need to wash and mend them? The battle horn blows, gather your weapons. Is your sword sharp? Or is it pitted and rusty? How is your breastplate? Is it polished and strong, or bent and dimm. Gather your belt, tuck in your shirt! Put on your shoes. Sound the alarm, wake your neighbors, the enemy is at the gates! Your shield and helmet put on in haste, for the arrows fly.
Arise and Awake for the groom is here! your lamps have gone out because you failed to keep the oil full. Arise and gnash your teeth, the sun has risen and you have missed the coming of your Lord. He has seated at the banquett and closed the doors. You slothful ones, you despised the truth and left behind your belt. Your shoes have holes and you failed to prepair the way. You lowered your guard, you put aside your shield and the darts have pierced you through. Your armor you put asunder so you could play the harlot. Where is your helmet, your salvation you lost. Gnash your teeth and wail, you grew comfortable and lazy. Beat your breast and cry, but He has gathered those that stood ready for His day! Cry and wail, but He can't hear you. You have missed the wedding, you wanted only His name, but could not pay the price.
He only asked that you stay alert and listen for His return, but you became distracted by the cares of this life.
ARISE AND AWAKE HIS DAY HAS COME! |
