So there was King Jehoshaphat, chillin out eating a turkey leg when one of his boys came in hollerin’ something about armies having them surrounded and getting close to entering the neighborhood. Like any good redneck boy, Jehoshaphat got real scared and didn’t know what to do. The enemy had waged a battle that was too much for this old boy to comprehend. In fact, he was so afraid he couldn’t even think of a plan. "We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You" (2 Chron. 20:6-12). Well, turns out lookin’ to God was key in this situation cause God showed up! God told Jehoshaphat “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you" (2 Chron. 20:15). Long story short, God made the enemies armies start whooping up on each other, and King Jehoshaphat got front row seats for the fight, no pay-per-view fees either! Folks, ole Rich has been in a battle lately, but I am now reminded of God’s word. You see, the battle is not mine or yours if our hearts and minds are turned towards Him; the battle is Gods. We often find ourselves surrounded by the enemy; this is because this is not our home. We are encamped within enemy territory everyday and there will be battles, but praise God victory is assured! Where are you in the battle today? Is your soul crying out to God? Does it seem the only thing you can do is look to Him? My friend, you just may be in the right place to get a front row seat to watch God’s Glory in action! Love to all, Rich |

This is a great. I often catch myself trying, unsuccessfully, to fight off all the attacks the devil tries to bring against me. Then I remember the battle has already been won, I need only to press into God and let Him handle it. I was discussing this same subject with a friend of mine last night and we both were told by God to not look at what is around us, don't be intimidated by what we see in the physical, only walk in faith to what we know to be true in the spiritual. Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. |

Rich, that is fantastic! I think we all need to be reminded every once in awhile that we can be comforted in knowing that the battle is not ours but God's. Like Brandy says - we just need to stick close to Him.

| Rich, I read some of Billy Rays blogs but kept running out of time and never got a chance to check out some of your blogs like I had intended to. Well, I guess I finally got a chance to read one, and boy, even though you posted it two weeks ago, was it ever on time. Thank you for getting the nerve to blog , I have yet to do my first.
