1:2 Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort; 1:3 Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope; 1:4 But let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing. These 3 verses are some of my favorite in all the Scriptures. Maybe you're in the same boat I'm in or similar to it. As a man who has a demanding job that takes precious hours of my life, a God called desire to preach and teach His Word that doesn't seem to get the amount of time that I would like, not to mention a long distance relationship with a girl I'm crazy about. When you add all that up it tends to make me, oh I don't know..... STRESSED!!!! Anyone feeling like that tonight? Anyone...oops, no shoving, just raise hands. Yes I see you, and I see you, and wow you really need to go to bed looking like that. Ok, so maybe I can't magically pear through my computer screen and see you or your raised hand, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is a little stressed at the moment. Maybe you're reading this and for the past month of your life, it seems as if stressed is what you've been, and are afraid may always be. Praying and reading God's Holy Word has become hard, because it seems as if the walls of Heaven are made of brass and everything you say to God just doesn't seem like it's touching base. We've all been there. The cool part is that God hears, and even though sometimes it's not when WE want, God responds. And through those times when Satan's throwing all he(notice little "h" cause he's not on par with my God) can at you, yet you still take time out of your day to meet with God, He notices and continues to make you more like Him. And isn't going through a little stress sometimes worth it if at the end of it all, I'm more like Christ? More like Christ....ahhhhhh....I'm becoming more relaxed just thinking about it. Much love and many blessings Peace |
