| Be Still.... and know |
|
| |
Be still and Know I am God...
How many times do I hear that in one day.... How many times do I fight off the evil one and attacks......
* when a teen wants to drop out and flip off mom and dad * when that teen teaches younger siblings about it * when I pray younger siblings are listening to You Oh my Lord. * when I can call a wise Southern woman and get out my frustrations and say bad things and gossip...Lord I am sorry for that btw--- I would just rather talk to her than disrespect my husband... remember you are teaching me oh how well to
5:33 however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
* I didn't mean to get the worked up husband more stressed out that he wants to fly home and kick some tail. * but I am tired, and I can't deal with it any more
So Lord I am going to go Glorify you. If any one of you know me out there you know I love to garden.... pull and pray... pull and pray... I have gardens that glorify your name.
So in my gardens as I walk with you Lord let me here that oh so small voice...
29:9 While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them. 4:16 It stood still, but I could not discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes; there was silence, then I heard a voice:
6:10 This would be my consolation; I would even exult in pain unsparing; for I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
21:7 Why do the wicked live, reach old age, and grow mighty in power? 4:3 \4:2\O men, how long shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies? [Selah] 4:4 \4:3\But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. 4:5 \4:4\Be angry, but sin not; commune with your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. [Selah] So dear friends
as I walk closer and closer to the valley of death let me know that God is God and I am not.

Thanks Cheryl... I needed that memo today... I will post it here
91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, 91:2 will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust." 91:3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence; 91:4 he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. 91:5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 91:6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. 91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. 91:8 You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. 91:9 Because you have made the LORD your refuge, the Most High your habitation, 91:10 no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent. 91:11 For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways. 91:12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. 91:13 You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot. 91:14 Because he cleaves to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him. 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Lord I don't want to stumble today and turn to my old sins... Let me handle it like you Lord and let me love... Let the head of my household cause our house to split if needed cause My Redneck is the head of the house and he does say what will or will not happen. |

B, Here is a "seed" to put in the garden of your heart -- which the Word calls "soil" (Mark 4). Believe and obey and let the plant grow! Be free - be so free that you bring the "freedom" to your husband and family - even those who oppose you--- 2Co 10:3-6 The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way--never have and never will. (4) The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. (5) We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. (6) Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity. The Message Version xoxoxoxoxxo P.S. I am not a "redneck" - nor will I ever be -- but I hope you still love me! |

ooops Cheryl you snuck in there Cheryl... I love you too sister chick
yeah sometimes wise Southern women Love their sons enough to call them and tell them how it is......Southern women LOVE their sons, but when they are too smart for their overalls the tend to tell their sons to call the truency, or search for boot camps or christian school.
I LOVE MY MOTHER IN LAW... She rocks and thumps the bible and us when needed. |

Becky, it sounds like you are having a hard time. Keep in mind, the Lord wants us close to Him. I think He gives us the hard times so that we will seek Him out. I love you, sister in Christ. Hold fast! |

awww Mommy W... how can we not love our sweet wise words of the elder generation. My mother in law just retired and I turn to her...when I can't take it ...she speaks to me with the bible and sometimes gets really angry, but it because she loves her son and me so. I can't turn to my mom or grandma...they are with Jesus... and if my stepmom could tell me congradulations when I receive a gift from God... not evil...and when she could learn to respect my Dad and not tear him down cause she loves her kids soo...
I will always turn to my moms and sisters out here... thanks MRS W... I love you too.
LL&P...suppose you aren't a star trek fan either..... well i still love you
Lots of Love and Prayers while you Live Long & prosper. |

Darn Rich... dropping out is not an option... Life is hard. whether you throw up everyday or not...How can I teach them at least they don't have cancer.
Although sometimes it is hard not to believe they don't have cancer of the brain |

Now B, -- you just never know -- I am in fact fond of Star Trek -- "I think he 's dead Jim" to Captain Picard --- "Make it so" - When we lived in Calif - before we got sent to Wisc. our neighbors were Trekkies and would walk around outside dressed like Klingons!!!! The whole regalia -- the masks, the boots, the armor -- and would speak it -- OMG -- I like Star Trek - but that was waaaay too funny. And -- I like Ribs -- that's about it --- no wait, I did watch the Beverly Hillibillies and Green Acres as a kid ---- And --- we had a Star Trek birthday for Pastor one year --- and I made all the ushers were vulcan ears! And we painted our Associate minister gold -- he was Data! OMG - I forgot how funny that was! you just never know --- |

Ever try to "be still" and know anything??? It's hard! Nonetheless, its worth the effort and the inner peace it affords. Of course, you'll need to find a place away from the kids to find the "be still" part - lol |

Becky.... I'm going through the same thing with my 17 year old. Greg still hasn't found work... he tolerates her behavior and I throw my hands up.
I can't drive so I go outside and talk with God. Sometimes, I just can't get the words out. I've ben up all night. I need a break from all of this, but my eldest has called upon us to babysit once again, and then again in May when they go on cruise.
Children are gifts from God. I keep telling myself that I will start reaping some happy times one of days. she said once more... |

Becky, I'm sorry! I did not see the blog posting for this. I meant not to ignore it! I love that scripture you quoted in psalms 4. I am proud that you are in agreement with the WORD! We are enduring trials w/our teens too. Sometimes things don;t work out the wy we hope. We still gotta believe that GOD will work things out for their and our good. Hugs, Shannon~ |

| Punching a pillow is quite satisfying too....and it feels much better than punching a wall. lol I am only kidding. Really the ideal will be to get in to that place of perfect peace in Jesus. Love ya! We gotta keep pressing in so we can get there, sista! |
