Our prayers are for Ashley.  Satan will not be able to touch her. She has the precious blood of Jesus covered over her which will give her protection.

Do not fear anything.

Praying for Ashley. I know about this stomach virus stuff. There are about 3 different strains of it going around some with fever, some without. I will for sure lift her up. We are still going through it here. So sorry!

She's not sick. I don't believe in sickness. She may have symptoms of a stomach ache, but, sickness and disease shall not come near her dwelling. By the stripes of Jesus she was healed.

Michael - not to get into a debate here, but we live in a flawed creation.  We do get SICK and have to suffer because sin entered this world and is still here.  I understand your point, but if you were to say that outside of the 'mychurch' community people would think you were the type that didn't go to the doctor or take medicine when ill.

That being said, there's nothing worse than seeing your little ones feeling bad - you wish you could take the pain away.  I'm praying for  your daughter that she makes a speedy recovery.

I think God allows us to be parents and experience these things so that we get a glimpse of how He feels when He sees us suffering - He can't stand it either and wants to make it better for us, too!

GorwinginFaith:

I agree with you. We do indeed live in a fallen world. In the physical realm, we(she) may in fact be experiencing signs or symptoms of sickness. But in the spiritual realm, which we cannot deny, she has been healed and completely redeemed from the curse. I guess what I am trying to say is that I I strongly believe in the power of our confessions. For example, there is a huge difference in the following statements:

"I know that by the stripes of Jesus I have been healed, but, I am feeling sick and my stomach hurts."

vs.

"Yes, I may be feeling symptoms of illness and my stomach does hurt, but, by the stripes of Jesus I have been healed."

While these statements are very similar, the former speaks death and the latter speaks life. To deny that we do not ever have symptoms borders on the fringe of being a liar, but negating the physical symptoms with spiritual truth is being spiritually minded, therefore bringing life.

It's just all a matter of where you put your but!

I honestly was not trying to come across as being insensitive. Cheryl, please forgive me if this was taken this way. I feel for you and your daughter and I pray that the spiritual truth quickly overrides the physical symptoms, in Jesus name.

In love,
Michael

You'll be in my thoughts Cheryl and Ashley.  I know what it feels like to feel "yucky."  With the condition I've got, the first sign is a high temperature or feeling freezing cold, and nothing starts to show itself till everything sets in, and sometimes the only way I know I've got something is by accident when the doctors take tests and find out when I go for check-ups.  Everythng feels fine, but apparently its not.  So with this message zooms a prayer of recovery.  Take care.
