It's amazing how our God given gifts are used in unexpected ways.God knew if he gave my English teacer the gift of music, she'd have a student who'd hear about her church organist skills, and that would be part of the key that would restore hope in a hopeless kids life.I was truly blessed.

You are right, God does care about you personally! You are one of His! Sometimes I just want to spend the whole day being with God, but the day never comes, what with work and chores and kids and spouse, etc. I think that is why God puts such people in our lives, to remind us of that. How I want to be like Jesus and take my time going from here to there and fill my days with work that I can be passionate about.

I have not been here [mychurch.org] for a while, and what a blessing that story is to me today, Sarah!  You are so special ! And God was so good in sending you to us at Faith. Isn't it wonderful how we can take our rough times, our sad memories, and place them at the foot of the cross...tied up in a bundle, and hand them over to Jesus.....and He will take them...and tell us..."okay, it will be alright now. Leave it here. My Father is taking care of this.  You are mine. And I am His. And we love you and you are special to us. No go and live a life that is full of God's grace! Go in joy and peace!
Our God is an awesome God!
Praise God for wonderful teachers too!
Love you Sarah.
Blessings to you, Grammy Karen

Julia, God really does put special people in our paths to point us to Him.Some like my English teacher make you want to run to God,to renew your relationship with Him,to encourage you in your walk with Him.

Karen, thanks.Life is so much easier when you take your past and lay it at the cross. It's always been a challenge for me to leave it there, but when you make peace with a difficult past, there is a freedom that cannot be described. We serve a merciful God full of grace.

AMEN to that Sarah.  My father was not around much when I was growing up either. But my precious mom held us together, by God's grace. And I did get the priviledge of leading my dad to the Lord when he was dying....oh what tender mercy. I can say I forgave my dad and you are so right...peace only God can give....is tremendous!!

What a reminder that an act of kindness is never wasted.  What a powerful testimony.  Thanks for sharing with us.

Karen- Thanks for sharing that about your dad.It is encouraging to me that you led your Dad to Christ. There is more peace in forgiveness than anyone can wrap their minds around.I only wish that it wouldn't have taken me so long to figure that out.

Brother Billy-It was an encouragement to this teacher to see her acts of Godly kindness come full circle.God used her to reach me,which reached Thom, which reached to our kids,  who reaches who knows. You're right acts of kindness are not wasted.

I had a 4th grade Sunday School teacher, Mrs. Baker, that brought the love of Jesus to me. She showed me that God was loving and cared for us deeply. Over the years we have visited many churches as we have moved around the country. Once we sat in the wrong pew. Can you imagine - we were ostracized by the whole church - visitors who just came to seek. And no one spoke to us because we sat in a pew that a family 'owned' because they paid for it. We didn't go back, of course, but who did they worship? Certainly not the loving Lord Mrs. Baker told me about. They were interested in 'the building'. They forgot it is the Body of Christ that makes a church not the building that houses it.

Your church, Sarah, should have pulled you and your mother in and healed you, instead they forgot their true calling was to nurture. Praise God for the strength it took for you to post this. Love you poodle lady.

Gretchen,
God is awesome. It was only through Him and His gift of this wonderful Christian teacher that I was healed. He knew what I needed and He loved me enough to provide just what I needed when I needed it.Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.Christ shows no partiality and He meets us where we are. That's why He sent that teacher. She showed no partiality and met us where we were,&she met us with Gods love.Gods love goes a long way, when we let it flow.
