I am constantly telling my girls to “clean there room” only to be hit with the question “Your clean or our clean” anybody with Children know’s what this question means, but for those who don’t , it simply means that they have there own way of cleaning up!
The other day just before spring break, I went into my Daughters room
“ The Den of iniquity” we call it, and I decided that I would clean it myself.
After several hours and a couple bags of trash , I was finally finished.
When the girls came home from school that day I told them that “the room had better stay that way, they assured me it would.
A couple of days went by and you know it was back to the way they had it before, me being me , Said to the girls “Clean your room” the second I said it the girls turned and asked,
“YOUR CLEAN OR OURS?” “well you know the answer to that”!, as I left the room angry the Holy Spirit spoke to me and ask me the same question “ your clean or Gods clean?”
well that sure struck up some pretty nasty stuff.
God is constantly telling us to clean up our mess and “boy” don’t we all got some mess that need to be clean? So as I thought long and hard the scripture came to me 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is a constant cleaning that God has provided for his Children through his Son Jesus Christ. Aren’t you glad he provides us with a way to come clean? |

Yes, I can definitely relate (I have 1 girl and 2 boys) and I find that I spend more time cleaning their room than my own, because I want it cleaned my way.....LOL!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this parental eye opener. So, glad that the Father loves me, inspite of my messy room. |

| LOL...oh man! I have three boys at home...and clean is not even in their vocab. God's clean! This is a great post Keith! Thank you. I'll take God's clean! I am so thankful that no matter how dirty I get, no matter how grimy I tend to be....he loves me anyway. That...I don't deserve! How amazing is HIS love for me! (There I go to praising again!) |

You get on over here and start cleaning these rooms. Yup, and if you good, I will you a surprise. Uh huh. Guess what, I even given break times. I serve Dr. Peppers and Store Bought cookies.

I completely agree. Make certain that your room is clean. Just don't leave it empty!

| Well now I must confess the only room I have to clean constantley is the office is because I use it for everything so Lord Help me, I have a futon in it TV DVD player radio VCR I iron in here, two desk,fax machine,shreder, walk in closet so you guess it I throw everything on the Futon and some times I leave it there for a day or two you would not belive this room belongs to the rest of the house, and I be in here most of the time. I love it, not being slopy but I working on keeping it clean it's not dirty just clutred or junkie, I might just get ride of some things in my next yard sale because I haven't even mention the rest of the furniture in here. ya I need you Lord on this one. |

Keith.... it's Tuesday. Is your room clean? You had better get yourself in there and get it done!
I'm gonna come in there with my white gloves and INSPECT it with a FINE TOOTH COMB!
Then... you get a nice cold Dr. Pepper and home baked cookies. They are turned pretty good this time because I made em with love. There are enough for you whole family - you have the prettiest family I have ever seen. |

| I bet God gets tired of us asking Him the same question,Your clean or my clean.Bet God wishes that we will clean our den of iniquity.We make a mess like our kids do,and He has to step in "the den" and clean up our mess.We do better in keeping it clean for a while,but then we start to get slobby again,and voila.we neen Him to clean up our room again.I am glad that our God is a God of grace and mercy. I think you're right. But I also think that we're human... we have to just do it over and over again until we get it right. Maybe God looks down on His children and just shakes His head at us. Especially at those of who WANT to get it right and just are dirty little kids.

| I know son I working on clean up my mess, cause I sure nuff need help in waiting on things I want everything yesterday, and I don't like waiting on folks help me Lord I'm on time 99%of the time, and why should I have to wait HAVE MERCY LORD. God is working on me He's not finished with me yet, and their some other things I keep between me & God He knows. So Son I a few no a lot of things I have to clean up. In the mean time it won't hurt to eat and enjoy I love to eat and cook. |
