Recently while driving through a gas station, I filled up the van. Apparently, when you fill up your vehicle, you get a scratch-off ticket with the possibility of winning a family trip to some exotic locale. I looked at the ticket and laid it on the seat next to me. I am not much into the ticket game.
But, as usual, fate intervenes. I was stuck at a red light and I picked up the ticket and "scratched" it off. And, to my complete surprise, it said, "You're not a winner!" I was honestly expecting to win. Doesn't everyone else?
I am so very glad that my eternal salvation is not dependent on chance or a whim.
15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
See this tells me, that my victory is guaranteed through Jesus. You know the never-fail guy, the eternal one, etc. I do not have to worry about where I am going or my destiny. It's already taken care of.
