| Word from the Food Network |

I don't know about you, but I know that God speaks to me in different places in different ways. Recently, I was challenged by the Food Network. Let me explain. They had a program called Chefography, and it was the Biography of one chef that caught my attention. It started out showing how popular tv chef Bobby Flay had not finished school and had to learn a trade. Somewhere along the way...out of necessity or whatever his life as a chef and fame took off. It's not his success that impressed me. What impressed me was his tenacious desire to "get after it", to never quit, to make those around him look good, good sportsmanship and his desire to give back. ---It was a wake up call for me. I've had such passion in my service to the Lord, but I realized (perhaps due to busyness) I've not been hitting on all cylinders lately. ---Lord help me to run this race that is set before me hard that I might receive the prize. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.(Acts.20:24) |
