Nothing more important than our relationship with Jesus Christ ! ! !
13:4 The soul of the sluggard craves, and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. 14:1 Wisdom builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down. Proverbs 14:1 Rsv 15:25 The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but maintains the widow's boundaries.
21:25 The desire of the sluggard kills him for his hands refuse to labor. 21:26 All day long the wicked covets, but the righteous gives and does not hold back. No one is very impress for what you do for yourself . What is impressive is what you do for other and why.
7:21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
23:5 They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, 23:6 and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, 23:7 and salutations in the market places, and being called rabbi by men.
23:12 whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Doing the will of God and not even realizing it.
17:7 "Will any one of you, who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep, say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down at table'? 17:8 Will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare supper for me, and gird yourself and serve me, till I eat and drink; and afterward you shall eat and drink'? 17:9 Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? 17:10 So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'"
Jesus loved His disciples 13:4 rose from supper, laid aside his garments, and girded himself with a towel. 13:5 Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. 13:6 He came to Simon Peter; and Peter said to him, "Lord, do you wash my feet?" 13:7 Jesus answered him, "What I am doing you do not know now, but afterward you will understand." 13:8 Peter said to him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part in me." 13:9 Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!" 13:10 Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but he is clean all over; and you are clean, but not every one of you." 13:11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, "You are not all clean." 13:12 When he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and resumed his place, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? 13:13 You call me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. 13:14If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 13:15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. 13:16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 13:17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. Our Lord Jesus has a greater interest in a clean heart than a clean house or cut lawn.
17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth.
10:22 The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
10:40 But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me." 10:41 But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; 10:42 one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her." 9:62 Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."
14:3And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head. 14:4 But there were some who said to themselves indignantly, "Why was the ointment thus wasted? 14:5For this ointment might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor." And they reproached her. 14:6 But Jesus said, "Let her alone; why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 14:7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you will, you can do good to them; but you will not always have me.
19:29 And every one who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. |
