I have left this link on a couple blogs. www.frc.orgI also left the address of the FCC on one blog. I will be removing my account from this web site. I guess they want me to upgrade. But I don't believe this is right to limit you on such important subjects.
There are so many miss-informed people here also. And they must have the highest upgrade. Watch out for them. I have seen a lot of false profits on here. I just don't want to share space with people like this. I also believe MyChurch to be a big ripoff to charge money. an individual can not keep up!!

What's amazing is, until I started going back to church. Until my body was filled with the Holy Spirit, I watched TV and it wasn't so bad unless there were certain things. But now that I am trying to straighten my life and follow the moral path, it's hard to watch TV. I hear exactly what you are saying. Amen!

golden:  I don't understand your comment at all, but it sounds like you are frustrated and hurt.  That is when Christianity is very tough.  Jesus says we are to always act lovingly toward others (even enemies) and that isn't easy.  All God's best to you.

Steve,
I guess we are living in a world where the moral checks a balances are no longer in control.  Anything can happen.  I just hear Andy Rooney do a commentary on 60 minutes where he advocates getting rid of the FCC moral code only because once its gone the idiots who keep trying to push the envelope will have nothing to rail against and American can vote with it's pols to watch or not watch.  "Personally," he says, "it's a no brainer - no watching - well at least no listening."

I can't say as I think it will work that way but we're almost there now!

Gene:  I don't know if programming will ever be nasty enough for people not to watch it.  Seems like a huge majority in our country likes to consume filth.

Last night I turned to the cartoon show "The Family Guy" just to see what it was about.  I was offended!  In the three minutes that I watched I couldn't believe my ears how many "expletives" and sexual innuendos (or out right un-natural sexual references were made).  I would be soooo embarrassed to be sitting with my children or grandchildren watching this cartoon.  AND it's on prime time!  What a lousy show, full of cheap sexual humor.  No wonder our family values are plummeting.

Okay, so that's just me.  Others may laugh and find nothing offensive.  Can't they see what this kind of trash is doing to America?

And what's up with Golden2100 (above comment)?  I don't get his comments, he wasn't very clear.  And mentioning money, was that a Freudian slip by his saying "...a lot of false profits on here."  Did he mean "prophets"?  If so, does that mean the doctrinal differences of a Baptist, Presbyterian or an Assembly of God church is false?  Which one?  So, how 'bout it, Golden2100...care to make your comments a bit clearer?  Right now I don't know how to pray for you!

Whew!  Some folks just don't get it!

I just have to comment again...and vent a little! Every time you turn on the TV it gets worse! So many people 'teaching?' us how to live, act, talk, and look. Seems you have to have the right kind of body, the right kinds of clothes, the in-crowd friends, and hey...if you do not like your body...get fake body parts! This trash is "ruining" our country! There is so much superficial nonsense going on, and so much superficial dialogue going on. Lord, forgive us all...forgive me when I have acted like I should be first in line...forgive me when I have wanted my own way! Lord, please forgive us all! Please come soon! It is only going to get worse! Pretty soon it is going to be a crime everywhere...even in America to tell people about Jesus! Oh, you can spout all of the filth that you want and no one will dare shut you up, after all...we have freedom of speech-right? Wrong...we do not have freedom if we are spreading the good news of Salvation. It might actually convict someone...and we can't have that now, can we.

May The Lord help us to stand in this perverse world that we live in, because He is the only way we shall be able to stand at all!

I have been watching this blog and prayed many would read it when it was linked to a similar blog I wrote.  What a blessing this is!  I do know first hand the implications of the television in your home....that is not to say for someone to go off the deep end and not have a tv...it is just to simply say...I know the devastation and how Jesus can heal a situation that satan has destroyed.  My ex-husband was addicted to the tv and pornography.  He worked for a News station.  The addiction evolved from slowly allowing more and more into his system to a full-blown sexual assault on a child, rape, and now his life is destroyed.  In the process...my life and my families was deeply devastated.....Jesus has restored us completely.

Censorship is not oldfashioned...simply smart!  One must be exposed to certain levely of the world...but how they are exposed it key. I talk to my daughter and explain how the world sees things vs what God intends for our life.  Her sweet reply is..."Wow, momma, they need Jesus"

Your daughter is so right.  They really do need Jesus.  Garbage in = garbage out and now our society suffers as you personally have experienced.  Thank you for the link, Cheryl!
