mine was from K-Tel circa 1975...a compilation album that had "Muskrat Love" by Captain and Tennille.  Can't remember my first cassette but probably Culture Club (that lead singer sure was gorgeous), but my first CD I bought at the end of June, 1989 was C + C Music Factory.  My first 8-track was the Best of Bread. Before that, it is shrouded by the mists of time.  My favorite album growing up, though, was a collection of animal songs by Burl Ives.  The alligator song was the best.  BURL IVES ROCKS!!!
